Cherine and Connor first met over simple a coffee date which ended up being the start of their forever. Before long, they found themselves putting down roots in Dinas Powys, buying their first home together and welcoming a very important family member, their dog Ned.

Connor proposed on the beach, and Cherine said yes without hesitation. They have both enjoyed the past year organising what they know will be an incredible weekend of celebrations, so here's what you need to know …..

What to do

All wedding celebrations will take place at the grounds of Soughton Hall, a beautiful country house just outside Mold in North Wales. It is easy to reach by car and around 20 minutes from Chester, with Liverpool and Manchester both within an hour’s drive. Chester is the nearest main train station, with good links from across the UK.

Some guests will be staying on site at Soughton Hall, while others will be nearby. Below, we’ve shared a couple of hotel options where we’ll be organising transport to and from the key wedding events. There are also plenty of other hotels and Airbnbs in the area, but these will require driving, lifts or taxis.

There will be plenty to enjoy across the wedding programme, but if you have some free time, the surrounding area offers scenic walks, charming market towns, and easy access to the Welsh countryside. Whether you explore or simply relax, we hope you make a little holiday of it.
